New States Engineer gets to work on the sewers

Posted Mon 20th October 2014 at 12:19

he newly appointed States Engineer was rolling up his sleeves this week ahead of his first major Island project - modernising sections of the sewers.

Outgoing incumbent Julie Turner leaves at the end of the month and Bruce Adams has moved from Lewes in East Sussex to fill her shoes.

Mr Adams, comes to the States with a strong professional engineering background that should prove highly useful in his work in Alderney.

Beginning his career as a municipal engineer, he also worked for a long period as a water engineer before moving into project management. He has spent the last 10 to 15 years managing water industry projects, most recently for Southern Water.
