Alderney has enjoyed a surge in the number of visiting yachts this year.
The Harbour Office reports that the Island hosted several hundred more yacht nights this season compared to recent years.
For the past few years the number of yacht nights has stood at around 4,000.
'We are up a couple of hundred yacht nights this year,' said Harbour Master Mark Gaudion. 'It's certainly been a better season than the last couple of years. The feedback about facilities and the Island in general has all been positive.' He said the long period of settled, calm weather had helped attract sailors to Alderney.
The Guernsey Bereavement Service has made three visits to Alderney over the past few months and would like to continue to help you. We are visiting the island again on
Tuesday, 23rd February 2024 and would invite anyone who feels they would like Bereavement Counselling to telephone the Bereavement Service Office on 257778 to make a time to meet one of our counsellors.
