Local lad sworn in as police officer

Posted Fri 26th January 2018 at 13:14

A former St Anne's pupil has became a warrant officer in Guernsey Police Force.

Ryan Wesley, 20, was one of eight new police recruits taking part in a passing out parade in the Grand Hall of the Royal Court.

He and his colleagues have completed four months of police training and at their graduation ceremony were called to the bar to swear an affirmation as members of the Force. Ryan was also presented with the Mike Watson award for progress and achievement during his police training.

He is now officially a probationary police officer and will spend time attached to a more senior member of staff.
