Alderney blooms for flower festival

Posted Mon 22nd June 2015 at 15:02

By Shauna Jenkins

This month saw the fifth annual Bloomin' Alderney take place in gardens across the Island.

From Monday the 8th June through till Sunday 14th June participants were busy exhibiting their amazing gardens to the public of Alderney.

From small intimate gardens to more spacious plots, all who took part have been working equally as hard in the weeks and months leading up to the event to ensure that their gardens were in tip top shape, so that the public could enjoy them as much as the owners enjoyed getting them ready.

The public was invited in wherever they saw a 'Garden Open' sign. With over 32 gardens on show, spectators were spoilt for choice.

Visitors were impressed by the dazzling range of flowers, vibrant colours, striking designs and beautiful water features.
