Bird watching holiday hatches three more trips

Posted Tue 18th November 2014 at 15:30

This is the innocuous little fella who helped make the first Living Islands bird watching holiday a success.

The fully hosted four day trip attracted seven visitors, each paying between £499 and £549 for the package, which included flights and accommodation at the Braye Beach Hotel. A major draw for them was the chance of seeing migratory birds making stop offs in Alderney - and one they saw was the Lapland Bunting. Living Islands Manager Martin Batt said: "Whilst we did not see that many unusual birds, we did have one rarity, the Lapland Bunting, and also saw three grey seals out at Renonquet. The weather was superb - warm and sunny." Living Islands are now planning three similar holiday packages for 2015 - two in Spring and one in early Autumn.
