Which Alderney streets and landmarks do you think should appear on a
Monopoly board?
That's the question games giant Hambro is asking ahead of fashioning the first Bailiwick of Guernsey edition of the classic game.
Alderney is expected to appear in three squares. What should be on them, and where they should feature, is being decided in a survey that has been extended until next Wednesday for islanders to put their suggestions forward.
Early frontrunners, says the company, are Alderney's idiosyncratic railway - the only railway in the Channel Islands - and its striking lighthouse
Station squares meanwhile are being swapped for places with a general travel theme.
Graham Barnes, from Winning Moves UK, the company producing the board under license from Hambro, said all suggestions were being eagerly received. He said the Bailiwick lent itself perfectly to the Monopoly treatment.
The Guernsey Bereavement Service has made three visits to Alderney over the past few months and would like to continue to help you. We are visiting the island again on
Tuesday, 23rd February 2024 and would invite anyone who feels they would like Bereavement Counselling to telephone the Bereavement Service Office on 257778 to make a time to meet one of our counsellors.
