St Anne's Nativity report

Posted Mon 17th December 2012 at 11:21

St Anne's nativity play featured all of the primary school pupils this year and they delighted audiences with their talents.

The infant and junior school consists of 67 children and all had a part at this year's Christmas celebration.

Joseph was played by infants Harry Bingham and Mary by Isla Jenkins while many more had a less prominent but none the less important part to play.

Danni Woodnutt played a solo on her cornet and joined Deborah Etheredge and Zuzanna Machcowska in performing solo singing stints. Around 30 people bussed in by Age Concern attended the dress rehearsal.

"I was so proud of the children ," said teacher Gillian Costello, who has been organising the play with them since the autumn half term. "Their singing was beautiful, everyone said they really enjoyed it and there were even a few tears in some people's eyes.

"There was something for everyone in this year's play because there was such a range of ages taking part in the singing, playing and acting. It really showcased their talents."
