Four stand for Guernsey roles

Posted Thu 2nd December 2010 at 15:13

Four Alderney politicians will contest a plebiscite to represent the island in Guernsey's States.

Two Alderney politicians are chosen every two years to serve in the States of Deliberation. Richard Willmott and Bill Walden are the current representatives but Mr Willmott is quitting the States at the end of the year.

Mr Walden is seeking re-election and will battle it out with Paul Arditti, who was elected to the States on Saturday, Boyd Kelly and Geoffrey Sargent.

The poll takes place on Saturday December 11.
